Why are we still providing care curbside?
Because of the high number of cases of COVID-19 occurring in our community, we will continue to exclusively provide curbside care for our patients until further notice. Veterinary hospitals are particularly vulnerable to the COVID virus. Veterinary workplaces require staff to work shoulder to shoulder to provide proper pet care. We can't socially distance to protect ourselves. If a single staff member contracts COVID-19, it will force the entire hospital to close. We would not be able to care for any of our patients for an extended period of time. We are grateful for your understanding and patience. The information on this site will be updated as soon as this changes.
As COVID vaccination has become more widespread, we plan to transition back to a more traditional visit experience soon.
The Binder Animal Hospital family shares your concerns over the effects of the COVID-19 outbreak on our community, our families and our ability to provide care for our patients. We want you to know that we are taking steps to adapt to the current situation and we are modifying those steps as the situation continues to change. We want to be here for your pet's needs.
Our focus is to continue to care for our patients while taking comprehensive actions to provide safety for our clients and our staff.
We are continuing wellness care, illness evaluations, as well as surgical and dental procedures.
We thoroughly clean and disinfect our hospital continuously. We are following the CDC guidelines for social distancing with our clients.

We are exclusively scheduling "Curbside" appointments. When you arrive in the hospital parking lot at your appointment time, call the receptionist. We will meet you outside at the end of our ramp and bring your pet into the hospital for the examination. We will communicate with you by phone while you remain in your vehicle. Exams and treatment will be provided in the hospital. Payment will be made over the phone with a credit card at the time of visit. Your pet will be returned to your vehicle.
Call to pre-order medication and food. Payment will be made over the phone with a credit card. When you arrive, call us and we will place the medication in a wall-mounted container outside the entrance door for you to pick up. Food orders will be placed on a table outside the front door.
We are scheduling appointments for routine anal gland expressions and nail trims.
We are utilizing telephone consultation as appropriate.
COVID-19 and our pets:
It appears that dogs and cats are not readily infected with SARS-CoV-2, and there is no evidence that dogs and cats spread SARS-CoV-2 to other pets or people.
